A cable order goes wrong quietly: a standard that almost matched, an armour type nobody confirmed, a sheath that fails in year three. Most of that is preventable at the enquiry stage. This page sets out exactly how we work and what we can evidence.
Silkoro Materials is a China-based supplier of building wires and power cables. We work with export-licensed manufacturing partners in Northeast China and place that capacity in front of cable importers, distributors and contractors in the Gulf.
We stay inside one segment — cables and wires for construction — and go deep in it. Within that segment we quote wide: power, control, building wire, flexible cords, LSZH and fire-performance, in whichever standard the project cites. Outside it we stay quiet, because a supplier who is good at everything usually isn't.
Our job is not to be the cheapest line in your inbox. It is to make sure the drums that arrive at Jebel Ali or Hamad are the drums your bill of quantities described.
If your enquiry omits the armour type, the neutral size or the sheath compound, we ask first. A price built on an assumption is not a price.
Feasibility, lead time, and what our documents do and do not cover — stated at enquiry stage, so you never build a tender around a maybe.
No handover to a department you never met. The person who quotes is the person who follows the order through to the bill of lading.
Invoice, packing list, marks and certificates are issued to the same specification the order was placed against. No surprises at customs.
Vague compliance claims are how cargo ends up sitting at a port. Here is the position on each item that buyers typically ask about. Where something is not held, it says so.
| Item | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CE (LVD) declaration | Available | Declaration of conformity for covered ranges |
| CCC certification | Available | Certificate set covering the ranges supplied |
| Manufactured to IEC 60502-1 / IEC 60227 | Yes | Production to the standard, with routine factory testing |
| Manufactured to BS 5467 / BS 6724 / BS 6004 | Yes | Constructed to the British Standard design |
| Test reports | On request | Routine and type-test documentation supplied with quotation or order |
| Third-party type-test reports | Arranged per project | Sampling and testing at CNAS / ISO 17025 laboratories can be arranged — confirm at tender stage for cost and lead time |
| Customs registration (China) | Registered exporter | Registered consignor/consignee for import and export, valid long-term |
| UAE ECAS conformity certificate | Held by your importer | ECAS must be held by the importer of record in the UAE — an overseas manufacturer cannot hold it. We prepare and supply the technical file your importer needs to complete the scheme. |
| Saudi SABER (PCoC / SCoC) | Held by your importer | Same principle — issued through the importer of record. Technical file supplied by us. |
| BASEC / LPCB certification | Not held | Third-party approval schemes involving factory audit. Project-driven — tell us if a tender requires it. |
| BS 6387 CWZ third-party fire test report | Arranged per project | Constructions are available to the BS 6387 C/W/Z design; third-party test reports are arranged on project specification |
A cable's cost is decided by its copper. Its reputation is decided by everything around it.
Conductor class, strand count and cross-section checked against the order — the single most common place a cheap cable quietly saves money.
Conductor resistance, insulation resistance, high-voltage withstand and dimensional checks to the applicable standard, with reports available.
Insulation and sheath thickness, armour coverage and overall diameter confirmed against the standard's tables.
On request, and third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV or your nominated agency) can be arranged before drums are sealed.
A catalogue current rating is calculated at a temperate ambient. In the Gulf it is the wrong number, and it is the number most suppliers quote because it is the one printed in the brochure. These are the four points we check on every enquiry from the region.
| Configuration | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 4 C × 25 mm² | Distribution boards, small sub-mains |
| 4 C × 95 mm² | Riser and sub-main distribution |
| 4 C × 300 mm² | Main LV feeders |
The full range runs from 1.5 to 300 mm², 1 to 5 cores. Configurations outside this — larger sections, higher core counts, specific drum lengths — are quoted on request.
Distributors in the region increasingly want their own name on the product rather than a manufacturer's. We build for that.
Your brand, your reference numbers, your language — printed on the drum and embossed or printed on the cable sheath to your instruction.
Drum lengths, coil sizes, labels and carton marking set to your market's requirements. IPPC-fumigated timber as standard for export.
Standard constructions, or manufactured to your own drawing — a specific sheath compound, a particular core identification scheme, a non-standard size.
Send the standard, sizes, sheath type and destination. You will get a straight answer on feasibility and a quotation within 12 hours.
